This is a legitimate complaint *and* there is a legitimate defence of DD's words. The word Ireland means more than one thing, and every day Brexit is forcing people to engage with that ambiguity. https://t.co/nBBWkpO4jX
Clarksdale is an extraordinary place
Among the ways the Southern US is like Northern Ireland: personal warmth but political extremism. And an endemic inability to confront the past honestly. https://t.co/GkGKvYuqO2
The Bad Boys of Brexit are, depressingly, news here in Mississippi... https://t.co/VUNdPXZYzE
We think the globe wasn't really connected before Twitter but Daniel O'Connell campaigned gainst Andrew Jackson's re-election in 1832 from across the Atlantic. https://t.co/jwZPsYq9FJ
lads you just kept me on hold for nearly an hour. I'll just cancel the booking rather than waste more money on your phone line.
Am in the southern US and decided to accompany a drive through the Smoky Mountains with Rush Limbaugh on the radio. Aside from the politics, the format is bizarre. It's just rambling. No apparent structure or preparation.

Amol Rajan's promotional tweets we're appallingly ill-judged, even if the subject matter is legitimate (which it is)

Post-Barnier remarks, lots of people speculating about the prospect/risk of never sending transition. Reposting something I wrote last year - other than the Tory right it is hard to see where the will to continue with the hardest of Brexits will come from.
There's something familiar about the spokesman for the new dissident group https://t.co/Dg1B5Ey7pO
I'm not sure FG has ever published a paper on unity. Both big southern parties have avoided anti-partition rhetoric for a few decades (except the odd statement of aspiration). Eire Nua was quite a significant SF step in the 80s albeit still during the '!armed struggle'
